Andaki, road of life

At the time of the conquest, a group of indigenous people sought to reach the Amazon from the Andes, escaping from the Spanish troops, and opened what is now known as the Andaki Trail. This territory, which lived through the war against Peru, the bloody exploitation of resources such as rubber and cinchona and the horrors of armed conflict, is now the setting for a group of scientists and several of its inhabitants to explore life and biodiversity.
